TNT Logs 86, 87, 88, 89, 90 from Virtual Quilter

Interesting design to start today’s Log Cabin retreat … first of five Log Cabin quilt variations to look at.

An interesting variation of the first design, almost the same and with the colours swapped. I like the colour change.

In the design above the two rows of blocks in the centre, both vertically and horizontal, are the same but the corners have been changes.

I like the change, but what does it look like with the colours reversed?

I should have left them as they were!

My favourite of this mid week’s collection of Log Cabin designs is the ...

TNT Logs 81, 82, 83, 84, 85 from Virtual Quilter

Middle of what is becoming a crazy week with appointments, visitors, surprise visitors, and who knows what else will crop up!

The second design is the same as the first, but with the colours reversed. Makes a big difference!

Once again there is the darker version …

… and the lighter version. I like the darker versions, but it could be a way to use up the fabrics you have on hand.

The last design for this week is the darker version, but the next time I use this project file I will share the light version.

That is all for this ...

TNT Logs 76, 77, 78, 79, 80 from Virtual Quilter

Middle of another week already!

Interesting design to start with, but I have to admit not one I would consider making, but there are plenty of choices. There are over 270 quilt designs in this project file, all using just two different blocks, and I don’t think I have included the more basic layouts!

The second design would look ok with regular Log Cabin blocks, and I like the Thick and Thin version too.

I like the one above!

This one uses the alternative colourway of the Thick and Thin Log Cabin block, using the same layout as the ...

TNT Logs 71, 72, 73, 74, 75 from Virtual Quilter

Interesting design to start with, though my Mid Week Quilter’s Log Cabin Retreat is a day late. I am not too sure if my calendar or the clock is misleading me … got to be one of them!

The second design is exactly the same as the first, but with the colours reversed.

I am not too interested in the design above, but what if I reverse the colours again.

I love the change!

You will have to wait until I next open this project file to see what happens with the last design for today when the colours are ...

TNT Logs 66, 67, 68, 69, 70 from Virtual Quilter

Sixty four identical blocks can be twisted and turned every which way to create a multitude of designs.

The second design has a few blocks twisted, but all of them have the light and dark sides opposite …

… but with the light and dark swapped back to the same as the first design.

Once again the dark colour is prominent, with a few blocks turned around …

… and with the light color prominent.

More Log Cabin designs mid week, next week.

TNT Logs + 101, 102, 103, 104, 105 from Virtual Quilter

I rather like the first design, though I think I would like it better on the floor than on a bed.

Very interesting.

What if I change the light fabrics to dark and vice versa, and change a few blocks.

The design is much lighter, but with dark lacey bits.

What if I add four dark blocks ….

Interesting, but not better than it was.

I think the last one is my favourite design this week, but there are many more designs in this project file for future reference.

Seeing them all together makes it easy to see the changes I ...

Thick n Thin Logs 61, 62, 63, 64, 65 from Virtual Quilter

Middle of another week already, which means time for me to share some Log Cabin designs.

This week the designs use just one block in two colourings. The first one uses one colour variation, the second one uses the other variation.the only decision you have to make is whether you use the dark fabrics for the wide strips or the narrow strips.

I like the darker versions of the designs I have shared today, but maybe that is because it is a cold and wet day and the darker colour looks warm!

The one below is the opposite colouring ...
